Virtual Environment for Vehicle Dynamics & ADAS/AD
// A SINGLE SOLUTION FOR ALL YOUR SIMULATION PLATFORMS
rFpro rFpro has been designed to be flexible and can be used across every simulation platform type within your organisation. Whether you are using a simple desktop or a fully dynamic Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulator, rFpro can be used throughout your development process.
VIRTUAL REALITY WORKSTATION
Head mounted displays (HMD) provide a cost-effective solution to adding large numbers of people into your simulated experiments. This enables a highly immersive, subjective review of your vehicle systems, such as HMI, ADAS or evaluating autonomous functionality with drivers and passengers. The devices are portable, can be used anywhere and require relatively little investment.
STATIC DIL PLATFORMS
Static driving simulator platforms are an entry-level, compact solution enabling engineers to test vehicle systems early in the development programme. This level of platform is often used for preliminary testing of ADAS, chassis systems and …. It is a cost-effective means of enabling engineers to realistically control the vehicle and can be located in typical office environments.
DYNAMIC DIL PLATFORMS
Dynamic motion platforms provide a much higher level of immersion for the driver, providing more accurate reactions and feedback. There are varying levels of dynamic simulators but the highest enable expert drivers to detect the smallest of changes to a vehicle system’s configuration. This type of simulator is often used later in the development process when systems are more mature. A high-end dynamic simulator can be used to develop and assess chassis dynamics, powertrain, ADAS and autonomous functions.
MOTION COMPENSATED GRAPHICS
As the motion platform moves the driver relative to the projection system, rFpro’s Dynamic Eye-Point correction reshapes the graphics in real-time so that they remain optically correct. rFpro also offers both Head-Tracking and Gaze-Tracking solutions.
